Er. Churchill (By Private Notice) asked the Prime Minister whether die Mojesty's Government are taking action to restore British Administration in Hong Kong as soon as they receive the Japanese Aurender in the Colonies?

Yes Sir, as stated by the Foreign Secretary on Monday arrangements are being made for the Japanese surrender in Hong Kong to be accepted by the British Forces ecianander Mapa for re-establishing British administration in the Color ore fully prepared.

Mr. Chuetill: While expressing gratification of the answer of the Prime minister, may I presume that my Honourable Friend recalls that on numerous occasions, and particularly at the „Calvo Confum: nee in 1945, His Majesty's Government have made it
